Maple Bay is a picturesque town from the air. The quaint seaside town is quite small and while not as funky as Cowichan Bay still has its charm. The walk along the beach is very pleasant and for boat lovers there is always something to see. The natural harbour is well protected and a favourite for boaters of all types. Check out the marinas at the end of the harbour where powerboats and sailboats share dock space with some interesting float homes. You may have a chance to fly into the Maple Bay Marina by float plane if you decide to come in from Vancouver and the ferries are too slow for your liking.

  • I sometimes miss the green tree of the colder climates. Plus, the large, blue lake. We have some sights like this on the East Coast, although not too many mountains.

    Lisa,

The green is very easy to get used to, the only issue I have being that I’m not particularily fond of wet cool weather. The past few weeks have been very pleasant however and summer is on the way!
