The Islands Folk Festival takes place at Providence Farm in the Cowichan Valley this coming weekend of July 24th-26th. 2009 celebrates the 25th anniversary of this wonderful music event and an army of volunteers are working behind the scenes to make sure that the folk festival is as good an event as possible. I spent some time down at Providence Farm helping the Cowichan Folk Guild with a photography project and took some time to photograph the pre-festival action. If you are going to the festival be sure to thank the many volunteers that have made it all possible. Without them, the Islands Folk Festival would not have lasted 25 years!
