Cowichan Valley Cemeteries

Being a photographer I seem to be somewhat “normal” in that I search out cemeteries to shoot images. Cemeteries are peaceful places and very photogenic, you can’t get better than that! The Cowichan Valley has a number of very interesting cemeteries both from a historic point of view as well as the photogenic point of view. I’ll add a list later but here are a few “teaser” images.

Oh, Kevin, you captured the essence of the cemetery, and respected the individuals buried there. I love the shadows, age, and backgroud.

I’ve been meaning to go to one of the local cemeterys here for Travelin’ Local. You might see a few famous names on it.

    Thanks Lisa,

Yes, you should certainly look around some of the local cemeteries in your area. I’m sure there are some fascinating ones around.

Hi Kevin, Love the pictures. Is the St. Ann’s church in the top photo the church on Tzouhalem Road? If so it is a Catholic Church, not Anglican. I went to the school there as a child and went to that church often. Interesting history isn’t it?
