The Cowichan Valley Region is beautiful from the air and while many people will never have the chance to view the valley from this perspective I can offer some images for your viewing pleasure. If you do have the chance to fly over the area grab a window seat and enjoy the fantastic views.
Cowichan Bay is a quaint small town with tons of character. Small specialist shops are mixed in with excellent restaurants and lots of marinas as the photos show. Cowichan Bay itself is also a working bay with the Western Forest Products Terminal prominently situated at the mouth of the Cowichan Estuary. A large commercial fishing fleet is located at the Government Wharf in town.

With an aerial view, you get such a unique vantage point. Armed with the ability to spot all kinds of attactions, businesses, and just life in general, the viewer is truly able to see the big picture.
I love these shots.

Hi Lisa,
Aerial views are truly a great way to see the planet. I’m always amazed at what you also see that is hidden from ground level however; lots of piles of junk, really isolated hippie hangouts, marijuana plantations… it’s always a unique experience!
