Brentwood College School in Mill Bay holds a rowing regatta every year that is the largest event hosted by a single high school. The numbers are amazing with over 1,500 rowers taking part in 172 races over 3 days. These rowers are from as far away as Bermuda! Walking through the parking area was just incredible with hundreds of rowing shells everywhere one looked.

It was great to see the large crowds out watching on a beautiful spring day and the race organizers did an amazing job of keeping everything running. I’ll let the photography speak for now and will fill in more information at a later date.

Such determination on their faces. I love the way the light plays on the water in the last picture. Oh, and it’s great to see the pictures of the female team. So often, the focus is on the boy’s team.

I think the women were having the best time at the event as many of them didn’t seem to be quite as competitive. They certainly were getting into the whole scene however.

I like backlit images as well although someone at the regatta told me that it’s overdone. Maybe it is but I still like them.
